Clojureverse.org <http://clojureverse.org> is a forum based on Discourse
that serves as a home for Clojure related projects.

Many projects and groups have need for some kind of mailing list, be it
open source projects, local meetups, study groups. The most common choice
is Google Groups, but there are various reasons why not everyone is happy
with that.

Discourse's sub-forums lend themselves very well to being used as mailing
lists, you can send and receive posts through email, and you get a nice
web-based interface for free.

Clojureverse has been running solidly for over a year. It's mainly used as
a mailing list for Chestnut, there are also some hidden forums used by
specific groups.

Any Clojure related project or group can get a mailing list/subforum on
Clojureverse, just post a message in the Meta category.

I am well aware that mailing lists are getting out of fashion, and Slack is
the popular choice now. I'm also well aware that many are perfectly content
with Google Groups, I just want people to know that the alternative exists
in case you they it.
