I did a trial run of some of my production applications (big data space) and I did see an overall improvement in execution time that seemed consistent. It was not too significant of a difference though, but it was still good to see. I am not positive my use case would have necessarily been in position to drastically improve from the direct linking at this point though anyways. I also haven't tried to direct link my own application code (I think that's an option you can switch on, I forget ).
I was just curious to hear if there were some significant differences people have observed.
