No, we do not work from planned release dates. When it's done, we ship it. 

The current plan is to do at least one more alpha with a version of feature 
expressions that is a bit slimmer than the current available patches to make 
that available for people to experiment (presumably along with tools.reader and 
Clojurescript releases).

Depending on feedback from that we will move to beta (aka "feature complete"). 
I expect most if not all outstanding 1.7 tickets to be done by then. At that 
point, it's just grinding things down till release.
