it's super hacky, and the api is definitely in beta. I asked some folk about reviewing this api, got little feedback, and figured it wasn't that much of a wanted thing after all. I still use it internally, but it's pretty bad at what it does right now. I'd love to hear if more folk are interested or if anybody's interested in contributing.
