Posted here a few months and received a good response, so here goes again! Aviso is looking for Clojure developers to work on Novate, our Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments switch.
When it's at home, an EFT payments switch is responsible for providing connectivity for real-time messaging between the different parties involved in electronic payments (typically this includes merchants, acquiring banks, payment services providers, card schemes and card issuers). Novate is built almost entirely in Clojure (with excursions into Java and AngularJS where absolutely necessary): Clojure has proved to be a really good choice for this sort real-time messaging problem, particularly because of the approach to concurrency within the language, as well as the simplicity that is possible to achieve when using a Lisp. We have signed up a number of blue-chip clients already (including some of the biggest banks and payments processors in the world), and need smart Clojure developers to help design and develop big chunks of what will be mission critical payments infrastructure for banks and financial institutions worldwide. We are based in Killorglin, County Kerry, Ireland, and are open to remote working too - take a look at www.aviso.io for more info. If this sounds of interest then we'd love to hear from you - feel free to email me directly if this sounds up your alley.
