Hi Dave, I'm probably biased because it's my project, but I think core.matrix has the potential to make data & analytics applications in Clojure extremely compelling.
https://github.com/mikera/core.matrix It brings multi-dimensional array programming capabilities to Clojure (philosophically along the lines of APL, but with a much more modern, functional style that fits with Clojure idioms). core.matrix was designed to target exactly the kind of cloud based, data-driven applications that you seem to be interested in. Hopefully there will be a video of my talk about core.matrix at the Clojure Conj coming out soon.
