This may be slightly tangential but you might want to look at lein-clr: https://github.com/kumarshantanu/lein-clr It makes these things easier to do on the command-line. You need to install Java and Leiningen to run lein-clr. It automatically takes care of setting CLOJURE_LOAD_PATH and CLOJURE_COMPILE_PATH environment variables.
