I'm sorry this won't work...try this:

(defn stringify [fvar]
 (-> fvar
   meta
  :name
   str))

and pass in the var object like this:

(stringify (var some-func))

OR

(stringify #'some-func)

btw, you will only get the name not the namespace it belongs in...
