It's actually nice to use pull requests as a form of review and I don't discourage that at all. But in order to facilitate the process it's easier if you attach the patch yourself to the ticket as we're not allowed to actually merge in pull requests. I know, I know, it's a bit of rigamarole but that's the steps outlined by Clojure.
