Thanks for pointing me to Vagrant.  That looks like a great idea, 
especially since I develop primarily on a mac.

Ah, right.  Add-ons add capabilities, and lein plugins interface with them. 
 My mistake.

So, if I want to follow the parity principle, I'd need to set up my VM with 
the same versions of software Heroku has in their add-ons, correct?  Then 
add the corresponding lein bits to interface with them.  And then I'm off 
and running.
