New York based artist Bradley Pitts is looking to hire a programmer to
continue the development of the Yearlight Calendar (
www.yearlightcalendar.com), a custom, made-to-order calendar that registers
the duration of daylight, twilight, and moonlight for every day of the year
for a given location. This work will build on an existing custom
application that calculates and visualizes the appropriate astronomical
data for a given date, latitude, and longitude.

*Required skillsets*:

Java and Processing (emphasis on Java)
[Note: the existing code is glued together in some places with Clojure,
but Clojure knowledge should not be required going forward.]
*Applicants should be comfortable not just with classes, but with
interfaces, enumerations, the difference between static and instance
fields, and anonymous classes.*

*Applicable experience*:

Scientific or numerical Java computing (preferred)
Java for the web (acceptable)
Android development (acceptable)
Clojure (bonus)
Scripting for Adobe Illustrator (bonus)
iOS (bonus)

Interested candidates should email Bradley (bmpi...@gmail.com) a letter of
interest describing their applicable background/experience as well as a
resume and portfolio (web and/or pdf).
