I've just published some results of measuring the run time of many Clojure expressions on 5 different JVMs and over a dozen different Clojure versions at the link below.
http://jafingerhut.github.com/clojure-benchmarks-results/Clojure-expression-benchmarks.html You can click on the "hardware and software used" link near the top if you are curious about the particular hardware and OS versions I used to obtain these results. I've tried to answer some questions that I thought might arise, but feel free to ask others, or correct mistakes or omissions in my answers. I am planning to publish similar results for the Clojure programs from the Computer Language Benchmarks Game web site (http://shootout.alioth.debian.org/u64q/compare.php?lang=clojure), run over many different Clojure versions and JVMs, but those are not ready yet.
