Roll up! Roll up! Another exciting London Clojurian event coming to you. This time we're stealing speakers from Strata London!
On 2 October at 18:30 at Skills Matter in London, Stefan Hübner will be telling us how Cascalog = Hadoop + Sanity Cascalog is a data processing library for Clojure. It mixes functional and logic programming and makes data processing code very concise, easier to grasp and reason about. Being just a Clojure library, all of Clojures' features are just a keystroke away - no need to learn another custom language (like Pig or Hive). This also allows for powerful abstraction and composition capabilities. Stefan is a Software Developer for Nokia, Berlin. The team Stefan works for applies data-driven methods to improve Nokia's Maps Search Engine. Stefan has a faible for Lisp languages and is also a Co-founder of the Clojure User Group Berlin.
