There's a lot of work left to do but I was able to successfully solve the zebra puzzle with core.logic running under JavaScript via V8 in ~170ms. There's tons of performance optimization yet to do, but to give some perspective Peter Norvig's version for CL that compiled Prolog took ~17.4 seconds to do it in the 90s.
Clojure on the JVM can solve the problem in about ~2-3ms.
