If you are interested, I've written a whitepaper about my graph query
library FunQL:

That has an RPE implementation for our graphs with explicit, typed
edges, which makes those even a bit more powerful than the more general
RPEs in clj-rpe.  They are discussed in section 2.8, and a lot of
examples are given in section 3, especially in the Kemerer & Chidamber
metrics calculation in section 3.2.
