I will take exception to the naming of "mapmap" I see that name pop up with all sorts of different meanings attached to it, so I had to read your implementation to understand it. Can I suggest "map-by-key" as more descriptive? "zip" appears on the surface to be similar to the core "flatten" function (maybe I'm missing a good reason why you can't use that instead).
