I've never used MacPorts with Clojure and don't use a Mac at all now so things might have improved. However, I had 3 years of trouble using MacPorts as a package system - broken dependencies and inconsistent behaviour across machines being the big problems. My co-workers all had similar experiences so I do understand why some people don't like it. I think the idea behind Homebrew was to address the broken dependency problem by reducing the number of dependencies (so problems propogate less) and to make fixing dependencies more democratic by using git. But my opinion is pretty worthless because I don't use a Mac and I've never used Homebrew :-) Saul -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clojure" group.
