Have found what I am trying to do eval I am working through the Halloway book, which doesn't seem to have eval in the index, so I probably should excuse myself my ignorance.
Is there much a performance impact of using eval,as presumably the compiler can't do much until runtime? Or is the idea of functional languages to delay as much until runtime as possible anyway?
