I also, have a very vague sense (or perhaps just incorrect) of what contrib is. I am sharing my (possibly misguided) view because it's likely a lot of other people think similarly.
Contrib seems to be a collection for user-created libraries for Clojure. They all seem to be in various stages of completion, with varying quality and support. I get the feeling that at any time, a contrib library can suddenly die and be left without further support. For this reason, I have avoided depending on any contrib code whenever I could. I do know of some very good and complete libraries in contrib. I just feel that it's not reflective of the average. This opinion is based on very little experience and research. But it's my current opinion nonetheless. It's very likely that this opinion is completely wrong, in which case I feel that just a little thoughtful "advertising" would go a long way towards helping out Contrib. -Patrick --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clojure" group.
