I'm using those books to learn Java right now. They are suitable as a tutorial and as a reference, and they include useful extracts from Java doc. I'm making my way through from the start, but also using them as a reference while converting a CL app to Java. Version 3 will be written in Clojure:-) For your purposes, chapters 1-6, 10-14 of Volume I would get you far down the path. 7-9 are on graphics and Swing. Good stuff, but maybe not suitable for your desire to get up to speed quickly. Sun's online tutorials are also very good. http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/index.html --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clojure" group.
