Regarding the security part I find that delegating authentication and authorization to a specialized component is a good approach. You can use Keycloak <https://www.keycloak.org/> for that matter and I published some times ago some details about its integration in the Clojure world : https://github.com/jgrodziski/keycloak-clojure/tree/master/sample
