TrayIcon on macOS Tahoe beta

My application creates a tray icon and adds it to the system tray. This is no longer working on the macOS Tahoe beta. There are no errors from the Java API 
calls, just nothing shown in the macOS menu bar.

Is this a known issue with SystemTray/TrayIcon and macOS Tahoe?
