Some KWin implementation details had changed in 6.2, and, unfortunately,
this broke awt, see

Plasma 6.2 had been released yesterday, and we start to receive bug
reports from our users about this issue. Is there something that we can
do more to help resolve the issue? As a short-term fix, we may roll out
a workaround https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/6587 in
6.2.1, which can be disabled by setting KWIN_NO_AWT_QUIRK=1 envvar for
the testing purposes, but it's not something that's expected to work
reliably or last long enough.
