I can't see anything about that in the documentation for 
[`IExtractIconW::Extract`](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/shlobj_core/nf-shlobj_core-iextracticonw-extract)
 which says:

`nIconSize` - The desired size of the icon, in pixels. The low word contains 
the size of the large icon, and the high word contains the size of the small 
icon.

For the return value, the documentation says, _“Returns S_OK if the function 
extracted the icon, or S_FALSE if the calling application should extract the 
icon.”_ We don't even check the return value.
