Michal, I'm not sure what's going wrong for you. It works as expected with 1.1.0 for me.
I would be wondering about that same setting. If you run "clamconf -n" can you confirm the settings it finds, and also the path of the config file you've been editing to make sure it is the same as what "clamconf" is using?
