Hi there, I don't think this needs to go to clamav-devel.

I can't justify newer clamav version to need to install non-rhel libcurl and libssh2 (dependancy) versions on a server just like that to my manager ...
You don't have to. You can build it all in your home directory, then build a package, and then install from your package. Once you have a system set up to do that it's just a matter of plugging in new sources as and when they're released and then turning the handle. You can use your package to install on unlimited numbers of machines and it's much better than relying on the whims of some distro's packaging anyway as you have full control of the build process. But it could seem a little strange that your manager might insist that you use out of date utilities for your security systems... :) -- 73, Ged. _______________________________________________ clamav-users mailing list clamav-users@lists.clamav.net https://lists.clamav.net/mailman/listinfo/clamav-users Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: https://github.com/vrtadmin/clamav-faq http://www.clamav.net/contact.html#ml
