I wouldn't call that deprecated.
There is a significant difference between mainstream support, which ends 10/9/2018, and extended support. https://www.directionsonmicrosoft.com/roadmap/2013/04/what-do-mainstream-support-and-extended-support-mean https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/what-is-the-difference-between-mainstream-and/341173cd-f0ca-44b1-95c9-f22cc326cef2 In addition, there are numerous security and functionality improvements in the latest version, MS Server 2019. It is currently available in preview version: https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/windowsserver/2018/03/20/introducing-windows-server-2019-now-available-in-preview/ If the OP is seriously considering using his server for the long haul, I see no reason to handicap themselves with an outdated version. Of course, if this is just something for their own home amusement, then it doesn't make any difference. I believe that I can say with confidence that forward looking developers are not going to be spending a great deal of effort or time in back porting their applications to work on a twice superseded server version. Just my 2¢. -- Jerry _______________________________________________ clamav-users mailing list clamav-users@lists.clamav.net http://lists.clamav.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/clamav-users Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: https://github.com/vrtadmin/clamav-faq http://www.clamav.net/contact.html#ml
