Sorry if I wasn't clear . . .

Do you do "OnAcess" scanning for the whole drive, or just some sub-directories?
Do you do scheduled scanning for the whole drive, or just some sub-directories?

Thanks!

OnAccess will do by running daemon.

Cron will run clamscan/clamdscan by own schedule.

Trivial.

Thanks - how do you split that up (ie, which parts of the file system

I guess, same like Windows workstation. On Access + scheduled from
cron. :-D

I'm working on running clamav on my Linux workstation - NOT a server
environment.  What is the recommended usage in that environment?
clamd + OnAccess?  clamscan scheduled from cron?? clamdscan scheduled
from cron??

I did search through the documentation but didn't see much addressing
"best practices" in a single machine environment.

Thanks in advance!
