The documentation in freshclam.conf for private mirrors says:

For each database, freshclam first attempts # to download the CLD file. If that fails, it tries to download the # CVD file. It can be used multiple times to provide # fall-back mirrors. # Default: disabled #PrivateMirror mirror1.mynetwork.com #PrivateMirror mirror2.mynetwork.com Note that there is no "http://"; protocol in the server name. Your freshclam.conf says: On my client, I've changed my freesclam.conf with :DatabaseMirror http://IP/my_repository You are using DatabaseMirror, not PrivateMirror.
