Ok my bad for not looking at the Makefile.in I thought all the changes were only in the Makefile.am.
This is how I have mine in both; Makefile.am; SUBDIRS = libltdl libclamav clamscan freshclam clamconf database docs etc test unit_tests Makefile.in; SUBDIRS = libltdl libclamav clamscan freshclam clamconf database docs etc test \ unit_tests $(am__append_1) And now it gives me what I want; Looking at the pkg contents this is what I have; usr/bin/ usr/bin/clamscan usr/bin/freshclam usr/bin/clamconf usr/bin/clamsubmit usr/bin/clamav-config usr/include/ var/run/ var/run/clamav/ If just use the clamscan does clamscan need the path /var/run?
