Fortunately, you shouldn't have to. An initial version of the packages that will eventually be uploaded for Ubuntu 14.04 are available from the Ubuntu Clamav PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-clamav/+archive/ubuntu/ppa You can install those packages and not have to worry about compiling anything.
