I am trying to manually update a daily.cvd file with a daily-xx.cdiff file. I know I can just download the latest daily.cvd. I know I can just run freshclam and update. That is not the point.
I run sigtool --verify-cdiff daily-xxx.cdiff daily.cvd and it states the cdiff file correctly applies. However, if I run sigtool --run-cdiff daily-xxx.cdiff it states can't open file daily.info for reading. I have run the commands on relatively fresh daily.cvd files so I know the file it good. I run sigtool -i daily.cvd and it validates the file. daily.cvd and daily-xxx.cdiff are in the same directory and I execute sigtool from the same directory. Permissions are set correctly and it does not matter if I run the sigtool command as root or not. It is as if the run option cannot locate the daily.cvd file whereas the verify function has the daily.cvd file specified. It seems simple. What am I missing?
