When does it play the "William Tell Overture" over the motherboard
speaker? Like exactly when.
Like at 4:30pm MT every day. It may play at other times. But, I can't say.
Does it do it "on bootup" or later. Do you
have to be logged in?
Later, You do NOT have to be logged in.
Have you loaded any whimsical packages?
No.
Does it
boot properly otherwise?
Yes.
I've known of some hardware controllers to that play things like that
when there is a problem, to distinguish itself from the rest of the
Server room.
It never did before. I've run this system for several years. However, I
recently did an upgrade of the OS from the CentOS site and this included newer
apps, like Firefox, etc. I've done other CentOS upgrades and haven't seen this
issue.
In other words... the best answer I can give you:
"INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANSWER."
No need to shout (even if it is a quote). Just tell what you need. If it was
something that could have been detected; I'd have submitted a virus report..
