Hi, I have a fedora15 system with clamav-0.97.3 and amavis-2.6.6 with clamav-unofficial-sigs-3.7.1-5 and am having problems with permissions.
clamd runs as user amavis.amavis, which is who should own /var/lib/clamav and the files within, correct? And /var/lib/clamav-unofficial-sigs is owned by clamupdate.clamupdate. freshclam.conf has the database owner set to amavis. The problem is that clamav-unofficial-sigs changes ownership of /var/lib/clamav to clamupdate.clamupdate as part of its operation. Am I doing something wrong, or is the script broken? It would be very helpful if someone could explain to me the default permissions for the relevant files, including any configuration files.
