Hi there I've got a new 16-core CentOS-6 (64bit) with gobs of RAM, running clamav-0.97.2
I increased "nofiles" to 8192 in /etc/security/limits.conf, and running "ulimit -n" from an unpriviledged account returns 8192 However, when clamd starts, it reports WARNING: MaxThreads * MaxRecursion is too high: 1600, open file descriptor limit is: 1024 Why is that? Is that just a hard-wired warning that doesn't matter, or is clamd still limited to 1024 file descriptors? This is a proxy server using havp and it needs LOTS of file descriptors (whether it needs 1024 is debatable - but I'm just surprised to see the 32bit limit on a 64bit system) Thanks -- Cheers Jason Haar Information Security Manager, Trimble Navigation Ltd.
