I am testing clamd on unix (solaris actually) and my test involves
streaming several thousand files to the daemon via a number of threads
and collecting response information.

I notice that, even when I increase the thread count in the clamd.conf,
the CPU utilization on my Solaris machine is low. This suggests to me
that the clam daemon is self throttling. Perhaps this was done as a
response to previous problems with high utilisation? Is there any way
that I can increase CPU utilisation?
