Your configure line shows you installed to /usr, but ldd shows it loaded
libclamav from /usr/local. I suggest you try removing ClamAV from
/usr/local. BTW if you run clamconf it should about the functionality level
mismatch too.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it was a source installation.  Configuration
string was:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --datadir=/var/run/clamav
--enable-milter --disable-clamuko --disable-zlib-vcheck
