If it fails to do so, it won't install it. This feature is controlled by the 'TestDatabases' entry in freshclam.conf, which is turned on by default. Why this check fails for bytecode.cvd on your box is a different issue but the good thing is that the update that could possibly affect your clamd was not installed. Regards, -- oo .....
