You really can't compare the two. DAG is a third-party yum repo run by
one guy (I think). The real issue is that Redhat's own clamav is always
out of date - so no-one uses it. They apply their mantra of "only
patches" to versions frozen when the particular distro is released.
Unfortunately that logic doesn't apply to AV software - but they won't
make an exception of it.

Hence the need for a third-party - like DAG - who do keep it up to date
(but fiddles with defaults - which we don't like - sigh!)
