FYI, I'm still getting the submission error.
ERROR: SubmitDetectionStats: Remote server reported temporary
failure: under maintenance
it looks like it will need some more time. I hope it will be back
online by monday.
Pardon this one's humble opinion and this is not meant to start a flame
war but...
You know this whole situation does sound more than a little hobby
shoppy. Doesn't SourceFire feel more than a little embarrassed?

I agree. If I were his boss, I would fire him immediately.

Me too. Anyone from Sourcefire care to comment on why it's taking so
long for your company to sort this out?

Jeez. How much do you guys pay for this service!? Cut some slack, and get a
life. It's stat's we're talking here.

The amount that I pay Sourcefire for support of Snort and ClamAV is really none
of your business, particularly in a public forum...

Speaking of appropriate use of a public forum, let's all please take it down a notch. If the complaint is with Sourcefire, then perhaps it should be made on a Sourcefire mailing list. There's obviously nothing wrong with asking about ClamAV services on this list and I think there are many, like myself, who would agree that the availability of the service is important and relevant, but it's a bit annoying to have a Sourcefire war on a ClamAV list.

... and I want to be clear that I think the snide comments are as bad or worse as the tone of the complaint.

Thanks,
Robert
