What happens if you try to load the database file directly? Try, for example: clamscan -d /path/to/spam.ldb /dev/null If it reports no error, then the most likely problem is that the script cannot locate the clamscan utility. Confirm that the location of clamscan is within your script's path statement. If that doesn't resolve it, contact me off-list, as this is not a ClamAV problem.
