One more probably dumb question and I'll call it a night. Previously on all my clamav installs the freshclam.log was started the first time it was ran, not so from what I can see. I have it in my freshclam.conf file:
# Path to the log file (make sure it has proper permissions) # Default: disabled UpdateLogFile /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log Permissons for /var/log/clamav are: drwxr-xr-x 3 clamav clamav 4096 2009-03-05 21:44 clamav/ Permissions for /var/log are: drwxr-xr-x 15 root root 4096 2009-03-05 21:24 log/ Freshclam when ran shows no errors.
