Hi all, I am wondering if I can keep the size of the ClamAV DB to perhaps a few MB or so...
After more than a month of running both clamd and freshclam in daemon mode, I see the database size larger than I might have expected. $ ls -l clamav/ total 43096 -rw-r--r-- 1 henry mkgroup-l-d 3521024 Jan 19 14:24 daily.cld -rw-r--r-- 1 henry mkgroup-l-d 40598016 Jan 19 14:29 main.cld Since sigtool shows more than 300k signatures, I guess the numbers are not lying $ sigtool --list-sigs | wc -l 344952 If I only use clamav for scanning files on-demand (i.e. no email scanning), could I perhaps curtail this DB size? If so, how can I go about this? Thank you for your comments!
