Hello,

Slightly confused about how to re-read the clamd config file. I can, of
course, stop and start the service, which will re-read it, but does a
HUP signal do it as well?

As far as I can tell the recognised signals to clamd are (from
clamdoc.pdf):

  TERM - to stop the process
  HUP - to re-open the log file
  USR2 - to reload the signature databases

However, the contributed RedHat startup script (in
'./contrib/init/RedHat/dmesg') for its 'reload' function states:

  reload() {
          echo -n $"Reloading clam daemon configuration: "
          killproc clamd -HUP

which seems to imply that a HUP will reload the clamd config file.

Is this correct or not?

Thanks,

John.
