Hi,

Looking through the libclamav sources, I see that local databases (.cld, those
you get with scripted updates) are loaded with the CL_DB_CVDNOTMP option, and
official databases (.cvd) are not.

What is the deeper reason behind this different handling of .cvd and .cld files?

I would prefer to always load a database without unpacking it to a temporary
directory first,
because this saves a lot of space (37MB) on our small boxes and also makes
space usage much more predictable.
