I use ClamAV on both Linux and Solaris. There's no difference in the commands I run to accomplish a particular thing. This is a difference in where the executables exist that impacts scripts. On Linux the installation directoris are /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, and /usr/lib whereas on Solaris the installation directories are /usr/local/bin, /usr/local/sbin, and /usr/local/lib. There are other variations that affect startup scripts that are platform specific, and contributed utilities that are platform specific. Finally, some RPM builders scatter the parts of clamav across several packages. This is probably the biggest source of variation between the various Linuxes and Unixes. What commands are you finding troublesome? dp _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://lurker.clamav.net/list/clamav-users.html
