I downloaded this release <http://downloads.sourceforge.net/clamav/clamav-0.93.1rc1.tar.gz> and compiled it on Macintosh (PowerPC) G4 - OS X (10.4.11).
It compiled without any problem except that configure had to be prefixed with CFLAGS='-O0' because of gcc bug PR28045. I have saved the terminal output if you need to have a look at it.
