No - just one script that is called from cron and it has an exclusivity loop that looks for previous instances (hung processes or what ever) and send an email if they are found and then dies. Only one freshclam.conf file on the system, only one location where files are placed. But - the earlier files were downloaded by 0.93 and the later files were downloaded by 0.93.1 RC1. The dupes stopped at 7268 and above. All cron processes call the executables by full path so nothing is left to chance. All older processes were killed before upgrading ClamAV, all components of the earlier version were removed before installing the newer RC version. It didn't hurt anything, no carbon was created or destroyed, so it was at least an earth friendly error :) and for now it seems to have stopped. I'm going to dig deeper into the log and see if there is any other pattern that turns up. dp _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://lurker.clamav.net/list/clamav-users.html
