Reiner,
I am not sure why your engine is taking sooooo long to load the
signatures. My system which is Fedora Core 8, is taking only 8 seconds:
Fri May 16 19:10:32 2008 -> WARNING: Database has changed, loading
updated database
LibClamAV Error: cl_cvdhead: Can't open file
/var/lib/clamav/daily.inc/daily.info
Fri May 16 19:10:39 2008 -> Loaded ClamAV version 0.93, clamav-milter
version 0.93
Fri May 16 19:10:39 2008 -> ClamAV: Protecting against 288170 viruses
Fri May 16 19:10:40 2008 -> Database correctly reloaded (288170 viruses)

Can you send me your config.log file? Mine is 92K but compresses to 13K.
I think you can attach files to the reply but if not.....send it to me
directly. I want to see what options were selected for configure and see
if that points to anything.

Jim
