The same problem seems to have just happened again. For the past few hours my jobs has been returning errors . Before I post the details I'll put the question here -- is anyone else seeing mirror issues or should I be looking for a local problem ?

I interpreted the above to mean that freshclam was using the cached data in mirrors.dat to know not to try ANY mirror, but was still running -- and trying over and over but not actually doing anything.
